Totally off topic

As I was going through I box of old chips I found in the basement, I came
accross 12 MOS6581 chips. If I recall these were the 8 bit noisemaker sound
chips from the Commodore 64. Has anyone ever played with these? Are they of
any use in a Module? I know this was a hybrid analog/digital chip with 3
Osc (Tri, Saw, Pulse, Noise) 3 EG's, 12db Filter, Ring Mod & Audio Input.
It may have to be driven by a 6502 or similar processor. Is there any hope
for these chips, or should I toss them back in the box? I wouldn't mind
having a cheesy Atari 2600 sounding tone generator. Let me know what you
think. -Nate

PS I've got 12 so I'm willing to share if anyone wants to play around.
