I agree Chris. I know this list is for MOTM, but I can't help but want to compare the two as far as sonic texture and features go. MOTM is the cream of the crop, so as a system above the rest I think we need to know what the plain-old "milk" modules sound like. PAiA 9700 too! Personally, I find the Blacet modules to be an excellent addition to my studio although nowhere near as road worthy as MOTM. My whole rack of non MOTM is studio-bound for sure while I feel very confident about the construction and life span of my MOTM! I also agree with Paul about using the LFO and its shape features with the 110 Ring Mod. After some deep experimentataion last night I can't help but boast of the 320/110 combo. The results are spectacular. You would need the following modules to duplicate the Blacet Klanger: 110 Ring Mod VCA 320 LFO (carrier wave with shape, but LFO also added not on blacet!) 800 EG or 840 Envelope Follower (simple envelope control) So buy all of these kits above and see the MOTM fireworks if you have a blacet and think its the end of the road for features. I used my self-oscillating 420 filter for the input to the ring mod. I won't even get into how it sounds with both of my two ring mod together, but let me say it was a treat. Thanks again for listening, Thomas White PS. There is no planned module like the dark star Kaos as of yet? Like digital noise or something else snap crackly poppy for us distrotion heads! >From: Christopher Jeris <cjeris@...> >Reply-To: motm@onelist.com >To: motm@onelist.com >Subject: Re: [motm] MOTM vs Blac** Ring Mod >Date: Tue, 8 Feb 2000 21:46:34 -0500 (EST) > > >Ok, I know D*****r, S***e and all the rest are dirty words, but do we >really have to star out Mr Blacet too?
