It will be at least a year away if I decide to redesign current boards in SMT. There are still plenty of these ADI parts "floating aound", just like the CA3080s and CA3280s. You just have to pay the piper. The MOTM-510 WaveWarper will be redesigned but with added features and that will be SMT. I still sell lots of blank pc boards so there is no great rush to convert over. I mean, TYCO has raised the price of the MOTM knob from 63 cents to almost $2 in 12 years. And it's a knob from 1963. But think about it: who the heck uses *pointer knobs* anymore? It's all touch screens or tact switches or rotary encoders. Paul S.
