The flat rails are priceless! I can make my own brackets and cables. I did a FrontPanelExpress design complete with threaded holes and countersunk mounting. Ouch - very expensive! I have made my own flatrails in the past and the issue was precision location of the holes. I did a second flatrail design with only the holes since it is easy to tap the threads and countersink the mounting holes. In a natural aluminum 3 mm rail, the cost is still $18.60. However, it drops to $13.02 in a quantity of 20 or more. This might be feasible for a combined order. I suppose the other option is just to buy rack mounting strips and cut them to fit.
