Here's a weird question. IKEA has these small lamps with the bulb enclosure at the end of a pair of telescoping rods. (They're in IKEA's Magiker series; they're only about $12 each). I was thinking they might be good for on top of the modular, so that the lighting could shine down and back onto the faceplates. But I noticed in the store that they have some kind of transformer brick. I don't really know the theory behind halogen lights-it says they're 12 volts--but seeing that brick kind of reminds me of a fluorescent light's transformer and makes me think that maybe a lamp like this would not be a good mix with audio equipment. Does anyone know for sure? Here's a photo if you're interested: http://www.ikea.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=12& langId=-1&catalogId=10101&productId=19151 Thanks in advance.
