>How do you more experienced MOTMers test new modules and DIY stuff? I have a bench power supply and do my initial smoke tests there at the bench. My bench and synth are not near each other. I have some long cables that I run from other modules in my synth to the bench if I need to (for example) supply a sawtooth wave from an oscillator to the filter I'm testing. I calibrate most things at the bench with DVM and scope. Exceptions are the 1V/OCT tracking which I usually do, by ear, with the test module in situ. Sometimes I'll drag the scope out to the synth if I really need to get a look at a waveform, but that's quite rare.
