There used to be a set of "component test plugs" that fit directly on your DVM. They had 2 banana plugs molded into a block, with 2 leaf-spring "grabbers". All you did was insert the resistor into these and look at the display. I'm sure they are still made *somewhere*. I don't know the exact and proper name to do an adequate search. Maybe in the Aligent catalog, their mega-$$$ LCR testers have them. Paul S.
