Okay, back to the FFB thread... John's review got me to thinking about my Moog demonstration record from 1971, regarding the sounds the original Moog FFB made.... So I burned a small section of the 10" vinyl disc, regarding the filter, here: http://www.danacountryman.com/tempsongs/dana/MoogDemoFi lter.mp3 I want these sounds!! Like John, I have the s.com FFB, and I'm not 100% happy with it. In fact, I haven't used it too much. If I could get the same timbre of filtering as on the Moog demo, I'd be a happy guy. John, I guess my question is --- Do you think I'd get more "Moog-like" filtering from the MOTM version, or is it only marginally different from the s.com version?? I don't have $400 to throw around right now, so this question is purely educational for me... However, the fact that John and Guido have raved about the MOTM Sub-Mux caused me to place an order for the kit yesterday. I'd been mulling it over for a couple of months.... Final thought: Here's a gift for everyone on this list: I uploaded the entire 1971 Moog demo disc to my site. Wendy Carlos played the instrument and created all the demo sounds. I haven't attempted to clean up the pops and clicks of the original vinyl, but if anyone is inclined to do so, I'd love to hear the pristine results... Enjoy! http://www.danacountryman.com/tempsongs/dana/MoogDemo1 971b.mp3 If neither of these links loads up the file, just paste the entire URL into your browser and download, baby! - Dana Countryman http://www.danacountryman.com
