Okay, back to the FFB thread...

John's review got me to thinking about my Moog demonstration
record from 1971, regarding the sounds the original Moog FFB
made....

So I burned a small section of the 10" vinyl disc, regarding the
filter, here:

I want these sounds!!

Like John, I have the s.com FFB, and I'm not 100% happy with it.
In fact, I haven't used it too much. If I could get the same timbre of
filtering as on the Moog demo, I'd be a happy guy.

John, I guess my question is --- Do you think I'd get more
"Moog-like" filtering from the MOTM version, or is it only
marginally different from the s.com version?? I don't have $400
to throw around right now, so this question is purely educational
for me...

However, the fact that John and Guido have raved about the
MOTM Sub-Mux caused me to place an order for the kit
yesterday. I'd been mulling it over for a couple of months....

Final thought:
Here's a gift for everyone on this list: I uploaded the entire 1971
Moog demo disc to my site. Wendy Carlos played the instrument
and created all the demo sounds. I haven't attempted to clean up
the pops and clicks of the original vinyl, but if anyone is inclined
to do so, I'd love to hear the pristine results... Enjoy!

If neither of these links loads up the file, just paste
the entire URL into your browser and download, baby!
