I remember reading a somewhere in the docs in one of my kits 
about a knob having a scale of 0-2, where the '5' position 
was unity gain. This was probably the 190 that I still have 
to build. I'll have to check that.

Btw, I never would have thought that multing a singal into 
the three 490 inputs would work. My gut feeling was that 
the energy of the source signal would be distributed over 
the 3 inputs. But I'll sure try.
