Hi Listers...... Some notes on inverters/buffers of the past...... ARIES323mixer had an invert switch on each section. It could de A-B and A+B outputs. I have a description of an Aries "Window Comparator Module" No schematic, just description, but it doesn't seem too hard to build. PAIA 2720-12 was a buffer/inverter. PAIA 9710 Dual VCA/Balanced Modulator's normalized control voltage input inverts voltage for automatic panning of VCA's. The Format1 synth used a CA3080 and fet as "buffer". ....also, used ca3080 and 741(buffer) for VCA. OAKLEY Tripple Attenuator Mixer has "reversing" attenuators. BLACET has a Quad VCA/Mixer with attenuators... R.Brewster drew a MOTM compatable "Mixer-Comparator" module. R.G. Keen(GeoFX) draws a "Polarity reverser" sim to 2720-12. Roman Sowa draws a "Modular CV Input Attenuator-Inverter". i was thinking of an inverter/buffer like the 2720-12. that is, switchable: normal/inverted. also, a "gain" switch--such as x1 x2 x4? this way it could be a sort of preamp also. i've been working on this idea for a while. nothing built as yet... stay tuned tb
