I have had this idea for quite some time for a useful PCB for add-ons and modifications. I "borrowed" the idea from Thomas Henry from a PCB I got from him one time called "utility knife" or something like that. But, he no longer sells them. So, here is the idea. I would appreciate hearing from you if: a - you have comments or ideas to improve on mine. b - you think you might like to have some of these PCBs. I plan to call this a Muub PCB (Pronounced like the wrong way to pronounce "Moog") Muub is the acronym for "Multiple Use Utility Buffer" This PCB would be very small. Maybe about 1" to 1.5" square (whatever it takes). It could be mounted in two ways -- a single hole for a stand-off, and a way to mount it from the back of the pot. The back of the pot method would probably follow the Oakley method using the very small pot mounting brackets. The PCB would have space for a single 8 pin DIP op amp and the supporting resistors / caps to configure as: dual inverting amps / summing amps dual non-inverting amps / non-inverting buffers dual reversing attenuator dual differential amps dual LED drivers support 8 pin DIP comparators The configuration would be determined by how you installed the resistors and small number of jumpers on the PCB. To me this would be very useful for adding onto and/or modifying existing modules and it is not intended to be a stand alone circuit. every time I add a small proto board to a project, I think how nice one of these might be. If there is sufficient interest, I will look into having these made or share design ideas with one of the other guys here that makes PCBs to get these made. Larry
