Hey Larry, Not understanding the first part....I'll have a go anyway. The switches don't rotate continuously (i.e., all the way around) they go from say 1 o'clock to 12 o'clock (a la the Blacet FD), and so would be better suited for octave switching IMHO. The diameter of the (back of) the switch is a bit more than an inch (looks like 17/16"). I'd forgotten about the mounting issue with the switches and the wood cabinets and the thing. JB
