I use the rainbow colors in order with red as the longest and blue as the shortest since I can use it as a "mnemonic" (?) since those are respectively the longest and shortest wavelengths of light -- for some reason I can easily remember that.
Of course, Larry has made it even more difficult by offering different colors of cable too -- guess I'll just have to buy more cables!
