Welcome aboard. I'm sure many of use have tried the soft synth route. It seems so economical, but you lose so much in the process. I was a heavy user of Reaktor, even a beta tester for a time, but when it came time for real time interaction the limitations became clear. Using a mouse is pathetic. Now map all those buttons, sliders, knobs and LEDs to a MIDI control surface in a way that makes sense. It's almost impossible. It became clear why most people ended up using Reaktor for building preset synthesizers. John Loffink jloffink@... > I'm just the new guy on the block writing to say "HI" to everybody.
