Well, this isn't all that on-topic, but it's more on-topic than many of the other posts :) I'm looking for a MIDI drum controller. I need something that I can play with sticks, won't kill my wrists, and doesn't cost a fortune. I also want something small that I can mount on a mic stand. It doesn't have to have sounds or MIDI inputs. I just want MIDI outputs with velocity. Any suggestions?? I'm thinking of the Roland SPD-6. Any ideas?? OK :) I'll make this more on-topic. Has anyone made a PCB that converts the KADI outputs of a Kenton into triggers that work with MOTM-800's?? Kenton says the KADI outputs are "open collectors" and that one pin is 5VDC for a "pull up", so I'm thinking they the outputs of most non-op-amp comparators. Has anyone put a bunch of S-trigger to gate converters or inverting circuits on a PCB?? Eventually, my MOTM system will have five to seven VCA's (depending how you want to count them :) so by using a MIDI drum controller with the Kenton and a trigger converter, I could have a MOTM drum kit :) While I realize that I could do that without MIDI, I would also like to use it with samples and such, and be able to edit my playing with MIDI sequencing software.
