Hey all you flood victims - <soapbox on> I think the term "flood" is a misnomer. Even though Paul is talking about 1 unit modules instead of 2 unit, it doesn't mean that we are going to see a significantly faster release cycle. There is too much fixed overhead time for each module. You have to do the basic R&D first. This is typically less for a simple module, but Paul usually has breadboarded circuits cooking while other modules are being packaged for release, so I don't see this as a big gain timewise. The only new module not already cooking that wouldn't require some R&D time would be the 1 U mult. The R&D on the sequencer will be the longest and most complex yet. Next you have to nail down the design with rigorous testing. In the case of a micro VCO or new VCA design, it will take a lot of time (though not as much as the 300 did!) Layout the pcb, get a test fab for verification, build it, gather parts lists, order parts (crap! have to wait for pots again!), do the panel artwork, factor in lead time for panels and fabs to come back, etc etc. This is where most of the built in delay is. Add year end holidays, real job demands, etc. into the equation. I'm not trying to be a pooper of parties here, just realistic. Let's admit it, we're greedy. We want the world and we want it ... now. I don't want Paul to burn out! <soapbox off> So don't be expecting 6 new modules by year's end - Paul is only human. Of course, he can speak for himself, and may tell me I'm full of !@#$<g>. Moe
