Actually the question about headphones also needs to be accompanied with whether you plan to use them for mixing. If so then you may want headphones with a flat response that are made for mixing. I have a pair of Audio-Technica phones for that, model ATH-M40fs. I believe AKG also has something similar. If just for listening the I second the the Sony MDR-7506. They are very popular, very comfortable and sound great. They are the professional version of the commercial version, the MDR-V6 which is no longer available. What that means is Sony changed the model number and color of the label on the MDR-7506 compared to the MDR-V6 so they could charge considerably more for them. The MDR-V6 used to sell for as low as $70, the MDR-7506 sell for $100 just about everywhere. -Elhardt
