So is the uVCF the "Moog ladder filter" you've been discussing, or is there going to be a full-sized MOTM diode ladder filter as well?? >The tradeoff is: multiple inputs (say 3 audio ins) versus more >attenuators. >Thinking of the Minimoog, with a separate Mixer section, >this is the best >layout. This is true. You would need a five channel mixer and a wonky VCA to completely replace a Minimoog. >Externally mix the VCOs, but you want FM (envelope, usually) attenuation >>RIGHT THERE on the module. Yes, you would need both envelope modulation and key tracking, and using a Moog to produce oscillator FM patches is very popular nowadays. Perhaps this is because you can't get the same sound out of any VA that does filter FM, such as a Waldorf Q, and producers are trying to show off that they have a real analogue. >Now, I need the MOTM-890 uMixer: 3 GAIN pots, and 2 pair +1 inputs, 1 >>output (6 jacks). I don't get it -- "2 pair +1 inputs" ??
