I can't say if my experience is typical, but I got a couple of
Monitor 1s for really cheap. But they were only cheap if I don't
consider the cost of replacing tweeters on what has become almost
an annual basis. I'm beginning to think they used the Gillette/
Printer Manufacturer business model of giving away the razor/printer
to make money on the blades/ink cartridges.

Really sucks every time one quietly fails. I think I have one ear
stopped up.
