Re: [motm] [OT] Korg Delta/Kenton Pro-2000

2001-10-14 by Mr. Nezumi

Thanks for the comments Larry. I have owned the
Delta for several years, but I am far from the
original owner. I have never been able to locate an
owner's manual and there is conflicting/confusing
info on the web. I agree that the "VCF fcm in" is
most likely for a foot pedal (but I'm ignorant as
to what the difference is between a CV from the
Kenton and a CV from a pedal - though with the
introduction of the 850 I'm gathering there is
one). The trigger is most definetly an input, as it
has a trigger output jack as well. Whereas it does
have "full" polyphony, I had hoped the maybe it
could be controlled monophonically with the trigger
in. I'm at loss for what else it could trigger. I
put 'full' in quotations because even though it has
polyphony it has only one envelope for all voices.
This can be used to great effect, but it is a
one-trick-pony. The Delta does a passable (but far
from great) string sound, but it really excels at
robot era Kraftwerk sounds. There are trim pots to
tweak the Q and cut-off and it can be made to
squeal in an acidic manner. If I pipe in a CV from
the Kenton through the trigger-in could it hurt
anything? Hz/v?

Thanx,
Mr. Nezumi
