In a similar way, a patch dependent sequencer can be set up so that the logic monitors the patch and its output advances the sequencer to the next step (the output of the logic module is clock input of the sequencer). Since logic gates are faster than audio, they can also be used with VCO's -- using oscillator sync and PWM to play intervals and create different harmonic structures. Likewise, a digital shift register can not only be used a simple memory module, it can also be used an octave divider. Of course, I'm sure the mad scientists on this list can come with all sorts of ways to abuse logic modules with their MOTM system :)
