Here is what I am planning on using for a case (I got a quote from them but 
still haven't purchased it):

This is a rigidized aluminum case with no wood.  About as light as you can 
get.  Has the extra bonus of some shielding.  These people will do ANY custom 
work.  Note that there are quantity discounts.  I was planning on having a 
11U version built for me that was 10" deep with the rear lid in place.  I 
would probably buy two of these, and more in the future (I think anything 
larger would be a pain to move around for gigs).  Anyone interested in 
getting together an order?  I just haven't had time to pursue it more, but 
I've talked to the sales guy and have a quote on a particular design.  If 
someone wants to work on this further and spend time on it I would be glad to 
forward what I've got in terms of quotes.  I think the 11U case was around 
$330.
