I would say medium to medium-hard. I've built 16 modules, but I am not a skilled EE type. The 101 has a mix of a substantial part number and some wiring, plus a calibration. You get the gammet with this kit. But if you take slow and methodical you will not have a problem. One of the beautiful things about Paul's kits is that he designs things so that screwing up is actually hard. All the ICs face the same way, so do the polarized caps, for example. The instructions are *very* good, so even if you are a beginner, this kit is way do-able.
