Alternate scales and alternate tunings are two different things.  I'm not 
interested in greater than 12 note scales.  I just want to tune 12 note 
scales differently.  And I believe that some foreign scales have fewer than 
12 notes, so some keys can just not be played.  I think bagpipes can only 
play whole note intervals for instance.  I'll have to check my documentation 
on Turkish scales.
