I drive my wife crazy when I'm building a module..."LOOK HONEY!!! The resisters are done!! Isn't it neat!!!" a little while later "LOOK HONEY!!! The capacitors are done!!! HONEY? honey? you're not looking..............honey?.............".
Anyway, welcome to this list!

Ok.

Some of you may not think this is a big deal, and all of you without
sin may cast the first stone.

Last night I built my power supply. First module, no big deal as it
was pretty much bold and connect with almost no soldering.

Today, I was going to tackle the easiest of the kits that I got in my
first batch, the MOTM-800 Envelope. So about 15 minutes ago I
finished and tightened up the knobs. I ran out of the garage and into
the house to show everyone. Yeah, even made my dear wife look at it.

I cannot stop smiling. It was not a big deal or super tough, but it
has been a dream of mine to have a modular synth since I was about 12
and got to see the one at the UofI in Champagin IL. My "over the top"
dream was that I could actually build my own. But in school I went
software instead of hardware, and even though I spent a good 4 years
in the military doing Avionics, I lack the design skills to do the
full life cycle.

So I am sure it has been said before, but thanks to Paul and everyone
else who put work into making these things real. It is truely a dream
come true for me, and it is tough to feel the joy of building it.

So tomorrow night I move myself up the skill scale and take on my
filter.
