Hi jk
I purchased Sonic Station a while ago, and here´s some thoughts about
it. I have to say that I haven´t explored it really fully yet, but I
did spend some time going through the (many) presets.
-The "real" instruments don´t really cut it, some free
soundfonts/giga stuff sounds way better.
-Some of the drumsets have quite a lot of background noise, I´ve had
to gate the tails hard off of some sounds to not have the ambience
noise evident.
-Some of the synths seem nice.
-The programming isn´t high quality in all cases, I´ve had to tune
some instruments´sustain loops so that they would be in tune.
Anyway, I didn´t expect that much for the price, and there´s still a
lot of good stuff to use. Overall, I´d probably rate it 7/10.
