Noble, You make a good point here. The need to highlight in the arrange page is annoying whenever you go to edit an ESX Instrument and you have forgotten to Hilight it. A better way would be for it to become active whenever you select it in the mixer page. I don't know how you might get round the drum edit problem tho'. You mention in your first post that Roland had got the HiHat polyphony problem sussed - how do they do it? It is certainly true that ESX is a young application, and has several shortcomings at present. Its main advantage has to be the integration. I hope that Emagic get it together to improve it very quickly now that we have shown faith by buying it.
