Emax 1 Sample Tuning

Emax 1 Sample Tuning

2005-01-28 by elmacaco

Hey all, I'm digging a bit into the emax, and I am kinda surprised that all
the tuning I can find is +/-48 Cents, or doing the pitch conversion process
which I rarely have enough memory to achieve. Setting the transpose for the
voice can get extreme tuning, so I am trying to find some kind of individual
voice tuning to those extremes. is this possible? What am I missing?

 Thanks

Re: [emax] Emax 1 Sample Tuning

I'm having a serious problem with tuning on my EMAX 2
keyboard.

When I load or sample sounds they are all a half-step
off. I press a C and I get a C sharp!

Is there a way to reset or recall the whole keyboard?

I don't use the transpose function since I use my EMAX
2 as a master keyboard and it offsets key info via
midi and screws up my other instruments.

Not only is it a half step off, but then I have to go
into tuning and sharpen them a bit afterward.

VERY ANNOYING!

HELP!!!

Re: [emax] Emax 1 Sample Tuning

Ok, so I've answered my own question.

I finally get the original note thing. I knew it was where the original pitch would be, but it just occurred to me that this can be above the hi note or below the low note and act as a quantized tuning, the cents as a fine tune. Interesting implementation, but useful in its own way.

I am using this for single hits, so the Preset Definition >2 Edit Assignment is a good way to change tunings. I think I can save different tunings in different Presets. That would be handy.

Anyone else use this stuff? Am I just waking up?

Man I love the Emax.
