Emax II Mem Expansion ZD403 floppy

Emax II Mem Expansion ZD403 floppy

2015-03-18 by - LIFELIKE -

Hi guys

I got my hands today on a B-stock Emax II, unbelievable, its like new, plastics are new, model 2205 keyboard, with 8MB ram, HDD etc…
In the package i received from the shop i received the 2MB memory expansion floppy disk ZD403, the one everybody’s looking after here, me included :)
I dont know if this floppy has been used, could be, but i will do an image of it with diskcopy 6
and post it tonight!
I have already an emax II rack with 8MB ram that has only 5Meg recognised, i guess this floppy
would solve all our problems.
Fingers crossed its the right one!

Best

Laurent

See if you can locate a Windows machine and images via omniflop

Tonight i tried to copy the ZD403 it on my macintoshes with Dart and Diskdup with no luck, somebody knows which program can image properly an emax floppy on the mac ?

Im trying now with Floppier, but i think that floppier needs a Macintosh floppy 400/800/1440KB floppy.

I've made disk images of Vintage Software(s) on the Mac with DiskDup+. I have never copied Emax floppy images on an Classic Mac, so I don't know if there is a program to do it... chicken systems translator??

For Emax Floppy Images, I've used EMX for DOS and and now OmniFlop in windows.

Ok, looks like the mac can’t copy esoteric format, apart from Roland (which is close to MS-DOS) and Ensoniq EPS with a specific program.
I dont have a PC, but a friend do have one, im not sure he still has a floppy drive in it… I will ask him tmw
In case i dont find a valid pc to do that, maybe i just send it to you Ted and you image it with your PC, as we still dont know if this floppy will work or not..?
What do you think ?

Try omniflop on a Windows XP or 7 OS with an internal FDD.

After that I'd try Norton Floppy copy utility (in the files section) on a Mac with an internal FDD and System 7.
