Emax SE Monophonic

Emax SE Monophonic

2014-06-13 by bry_204@...

Hi,
I just picked up an E-mu Emax SE rack and I'm still trying to wrap my head around the settings in the unit. One thing I can't seem to figure out, is how to make the unit switch from polyphonic to monophonic? Is this possible?

Thanks

It is located in the "Analog Processing Module" # 21 . pp107 in manual.
it's called Solo .

You choose which voice are active in the advance settings. If you disable all except one it will be monophonic

Thanks, this is the setting I was looking for. Is there a way to do a "glide" style pitch bending to other notes?

No doesn't exist.
But another thing that can be very interesting in this solo mode ( there
might be another parameter to be set somewhere but I dont remember right
now)
Try this: load a sample with some speaking sentences, or singing. spread
the sample out in about two octaves.
Now play, what is happening (or supposed to) is that the sample is not
retriggered but is transposed to the new note. so you can play melodies
or make singing out of the speaked sentence. Were funny and useabel at
times..
:)
