scratch that i was looking at the wrong set of pictures that is a pcd-50b

try a internal terminator on the 50pin scsi idc cable to see if the pcd-50 term is working

do you know if the firmware has been st to the 1 that ted has as that is the correct read and write os

you might only have a read only drive where did you get it from

thats your mistake that drive ted uses is not the pcd -50b

it a totally different drive its a spyrus 300 with 2 pcmcia card slots and can run on 2 scsi ids

as it does this with term switching ic instead of the luns like on the pcd-50b

I thought the same thing at first, but I have the termination jumper set exactly like this photo from Ted's Web site:

  http://tinyurl.com/7yzht4k

SCSI ID 0, termination on, write protect off.

I installed the PCD 50B, but I can't get it to correctly format a Compact Flash card. Every time it produces an "HD Format Error" or freezes on "Formatting HD..." indefinitely. In one case, the unit froze while it was saving a bank to the formatted disk.
