It took Rob like 2 yrs or more talking with Emu to get them to release the
SCSI upgrade PALs for Emax 1.

Those are 4 ICs to each data word/byte, and the emax 2 was using 2 ICs per
each data word/byte.
I believe there would have to be something to re-address the differences
in memory address due to the different memory IC, and you still have to get
around the PALs.
