I have an old 4MB Emax II keyboard with an odd problem whereby the pitch and mod wheels won't work and velocity on one of the keys defaults to 1. I've been through the hoops with this, it's some sort of electrical problem and isn't going to economic to repair as it stands. However, you occasionally get the odd beat up one turning up for a bargain price, which presumably I could transplant the main board out of, so I'm thinking about trying this before giving it up for dead. Cheap ones tend to be 2MB versions though, so my question is this - is it possible to take my memory upgrade and transplant it onto another mainboard? I remember that there used to be floppy disk required which would reprogramme the EPROMs before the machine would recognise the memory but I also recall that it could be done with an unlock code which Emu could supply. Does this ring any bells with anyone? What's possible, if anything, with memory these days? Steve
