I know I'v heard in the past that people have replaced their power 
supplies without ordering a new one from E-mu, but I don't seem to 
have the message archived anywhere. Try calling E-mu and see if you 
can get any information out of them as to the specifications of the 
power supply.

FYI - if your Emax is grey and says Emax HD SE then you have a late 
model Emax 1 not an Emax II. The Emax II is black and doesn't say 
HD SE on it.
