Hello all,
I'm new here and to EMAX. I recently got an EMAX 1 rack mount. It's got OS 3.2. Drive seems fine, and apart from a few noises audio outputs, all seems pretty good.
I've poked around and learned how to (sort of) use EXMP and OMNIFLOP. Bought about 50 DS/DD disks and i've written about 45 or so floppies with the banks I've downloaded off the internet. I'm using Windows 7 64bit to this on. All but a few worked in the EMAX so far - which seems good to me. OS loads and banks load and play.
I've tried so many different ways of creating the SE UPGRADE disk without success though.
OMNIFLOP:
-Formatting in the EMAX first, them writing the IMG file to the auto detected "EMAX STANDARD 800KB" format doesn't seem to work. I get an "out of space" error or too much data issue.
-Formating with EXMP and choosing the 'NO OS" option works and OMNIFLOP writes with success. The disk, however, does not seem to work in the EMAX. Just a bunch of flashing lights and crazy stuff happens when I try to boot with it.
EXMP:
Tried converting the IMG file to an EM1 file with the IMG to EMX tool alongside EXMP, then writing it as bank to disk, but that didn't work either. I'm not sure if I did this correctly though.
Can anyone shed any expertise on all of this? It's not a huge deal to be stuck on OS 3.2, but would rathe robe running SE.
