The overwriting issue is looking like my misunderstanding of EMAX. When you bring up a HFE on the HxC and you use the LOADALL option then you can edit and SAVEALL. Everything remains intact. If you do not LOADALL and just make a preset and sample then SAVEALL it overwrites whatever HFE you have selected.

Made blank HFE s naming convention alpha-zulu. Each one has preset 00 named 0. Thats it.
