You can't "convert" the Mini-DIN (round) connector with a PS/2 to USB converter (which is what you have- it is not an Mac ADB (Apple Desktop Bus keyboard / mouse connector it is a PS/2). In addition, the USB bus is 12Mbps (USB 1.0 standard) speed. Emax is max 115k speed and isn't compatible even with most PC based RS-422 boards.

I have 2 RS-422 cables for my emax. One is for old macs and ends in a square connector divided into lots of smaller square holes. The other cable ends in an old serial keyboard or mouse connector. circular, like 9 pins. I have a converter for this connector to usb.Is any of this of any use? or is the emuser necessary between any modern computer and rs422 emax?Any word on getting in touch with freddie? kinda jonesin. No idea what's going wrong with the membership approval process on eiiiforum...
I contacted the moderator about this today, I'm expecting a response from him soon.
I have sent a message to Freddy as well, asking him if there's another way to get in touch with him besides using personal messages on eiiiforum. If he provides me an alternative (e-mail address I suppose) I will post it here.
