as for the dss1 upgrade yes it is great
but we had the os code for that so that it was possible to add the usb and extra bank switching for the memoryand making wave file support any thing is possible when you have the code and fpga for interfacing and the floppy drive can still be used
then the full digiboard with scsi and usb
and the third revision board was scraped because of problems and version 4 which is a small addon board that is used with the original digiboard because it was a lot cheaper to manufacture tom used to hand solder each one he now has them done in china

and it will include the slim floppy inside the casing and the adapter so all you will have to do is fit it just like a floppy drive and fit 3 cables the scsi the floppy and powerits almost ready and i will be sending ted one for testingthe version i am working on is bios based and the firmware can be updated it also scans the scsi pins and does a diagnostic which you can have a look at to see what signals the scsi is getting this allows to write new firmware so that it can work with any deviceand the 7720u which is the scsi1/2 with the 50pin scsi connection works with the emax1 and the same devices and even though the bios is the same for both cards the 7720uw just wont work all you get is disk error trying to load banksbut i just cant get it to work with the emax1 but it works great with the emax2 with the same devices testedits because his design based on the 7720uw from acard he uses the same chips and the same bios and i know he gets disk errorsas i just cant get the 7720uw to work with the emax 1 i dont know what acard did or if its anything todo with the 68pin interface

OK thanks for the heads up.
I wish i knew how to program low level machine code and make a scsi/usb interface that had firmware allowing it to work with multiple applications/devices........Just installed the Korg DSS1(Straylight Engineering) scsi/usb interface/memory upgrade and it works awesome. No more unreliable floppy drive or slow floppy emulator. Another underrated synthesizer/sampler with some beautiful sounding analog filters

I've spoken with the manufacturer of the AztecMonster and he confirmed it does NOT work with Emax I. He says it will only work w/ Emax II & III.
Unless the firmware is the problem AND it can be hacked, save your money.- Jim
