Hello, I assume BD is Bass Drum... or Kick Drum ;-) Transient Designer is from SPL ( http://www.spl-usa.com/Transient_Designer/in_short.html <http://www.spl-usa.com/Transient_Designer/in_short.html> ) But there is a brand new plugin to do that : http://www.voxengo.com/tmodder/ <http://www.voxengo.com/tmodder/> Hey Rob ! Telefunken, Pultec, Urei... woawww, what a setup ! I'm still playing lotery to win money to afford this kind of stuff... but for now, with some analog synth and some plugins (Eq, Filter like you..) , i can get quite good result. I think my next buy is FATSO from Empirical Labs. Best regards. Have you ever tried the FMR compressor in "nice" mode in place of your chain of 3 compressors? Supposed to achieve similar benefits, since internally that's exactly what it does. BD? "transient designer"? - Roger -----Original Message----- From: robacidindahouse [mailto:robacid@...] Sent: Thursday, August 26, 2004 9:10 AM To: elektron-users@yahoogroups.com <mailto:elektron-users@yahoogroups.com> Subject: Re: [elektron] robacid, got some processing tips? one of the main things is LO-CUT and HI-CUT when mixing, your elements need room to show the sound. so i have this plugs on every channel i work on. next are my outboard stuff : Urei 1176,Telefunken Comps,Pultec Eq,Sontec Eq,Api 2500,Waves L2... i usually make long chains with lots of eq and compression, but every machine is just doing a little !! so maybe 2-3 compressors in a row for a BD !!! also stuff like transient designer are very important for me...... one of my secret wappons are the HDB TMA2 valve-mic-preamps, they are great to send some synths or perc. thru it ! if you have more questions, just ask :-) greetz Rob Yahoo!
