Elektron Musical Instruments

Have you ever tried the FMR compressor in "nice" mode in place of your
chain of 3 compressors?  Supposed to achieve similar benefits, since
internally that's exactly what it does.

one of the main things is LO-CUT and HI-CUT when mixing, your  
elements need room to show the sound. so i have this plugs on 
every channel i work on. next are my outboard stuff : Urei 
1176,Telefunken Comps,Pultec Eq,Sontec Eq,Api 2500,Waves

i usually make long chains with lots of eq and compression, but 
every machine is just doing a little !! so maybe 2-3 compressors 
in a row for a BD !!! also stuff like transient designer are very 
important for me......

one of my secret wappons are the HDB TMA2 
valve-mic-preamps, they are great to send some synths or perc. 
thru it !
