We're considering getting a Spyder3 Studio to create our own profile for the HP Advanced Photo Paper to substitute for the default profile provided by HP.
We only use APP at this time but might use other papers in the future.
Has anyone had experience with this paper and printer with the Spyder3 Studio and if so was the output produced more accurate? Results with this paper/printer are the prime concern at this time.
I definately prefer the Spyder3Print results with the 9180 on photo papers to the canned profiles; but perhaps more important than the default result is the ability to quickly and easily adjust the results, to whatever you might prefer.

just put a spyder3 studio on order.

also going to try printing from psv7, pscs3 (trial download...waiting
for cs4 to upgrade) and also lr2.0. we're now using lr1.4.1.

printed out the "sample page" that is stored on the printer from the
printer menu and it printed perfectly with no saturation or redshift
issues.

so it's definitely something happening at the computer end: lr or the
profile.

since we're using application managed colors and relative mapping i
don't think it's the fault of the printer or its driver.
