Is it possible to join two CGS89 Gate Sequencers to make a 16 step unit?

I just want a Clock In and a Reset button, no need for length controls or reset jacks for this project.

I have two CGS89s built, but I can't figure out how to wire them into a dedicated 16 step.

I connected the Step9 Out of each one to the other's Reset In, and fed the clock to both, but they both run at the same time. I connected Step9 Out of each to it's own Hold In, but that didn't help.

Is it possible to do this? And if so how the hell do you wire it?

step 9 goes to the sequencer's own hold, an the other unit's reset, and vice versa. both get the same clock.

Argg... that's exactly what I've done and it's still wacked...

Should I be using the RST or the RSP pad for the reset wire?

When wired (and working properly) this way, should I see one lit LED at all times, or will #1 & #9 be lit together, #2 & #10, #3 & #11, etc?

Right now there's always two LEDs lit...

RSP. The other would in theory lock the sequence at step 0.

Ah! Yes, now it works :-)

My, umm, testing verifies that using the RST pad can in reality lock the sequence at step 0...

Working great now! Love my new toy!
