I have toyed with that idea, but the problem with putting them above the display is that when you're adjusting a value with the knob, the display showing you where it's at will be under your wrist. And I prefer the look of the bottom row of the keypad linig up with the step keys. I'm not sure where else they can go if I want to keep the layout suitable for a 4U rack panel. I don't have a problem avoiding them when I'm using the keypad, so I suspect I'll leave them where they are on ready-built units, unless otherwise requested. Since the pots are on separate wires and bolt directly to the panel, kit builders are free to put them where they like. If someone comes up with a great new location, I'll be happy to pinch the idea... Cheers, Colin f
