Jym's SDX Shrine and Sales-O-Rama

Jym's SDX Shrine and Sales-O-Rama

2005-02-01 by flybot2000

Greetings, campers!

My SDX Shrine and Sales-O-Rama site is up. Included are photos of my
SDX installation, the original Modern Drummer review (a downloadable
PDF file), and a Quicktime video of Bill Bruford soloing on the SDX
during the 1989 ABWH tour (video has high-quality audio and is 7 mb,
but worth the wait).

http://www.jymdingler.com/sdx.html

Hope you enjoy the tour.

I also have some nifty publications yet to scan, including the
original sound-library listings and a very nice, slick, full-color SDX
brochure which looks like something your Acura dealer cooked up.

Cheers,
Jym Dingler

hi,

nice link.
what is the simmons pad that is on the very left of that kit in the
link? it a lot whiter than the other pads and looks like it has some
texture on the pad as well.

thanks alot.

It's a Symbal pad, same as the one on the right. They both have the
textured surface. The one on the left looks a bit different because of
the light.

wow, great site, and LOADS of info on the SDX,
Can I use some of this for the webpage?

Sure, download what you like. The PDF review is about 2mb. I made the
video smaller by reducing the picture quality, but the sound is 44.1
MPEG. Those Mason toms sound great, I use 'em all the time (Nick Mason
from Pink Floyd did the samples).

Hi, Paul.

Just go to the site, click for the movie, and let it load in that
window. Once it loads completely:

Mac: right-click the movie and "Save as source" to where you want it.
PC: same

Cool SDX rack! Looks like the same rack mounted box as my Groove Electronics
Stinger (why not mention that when talking about rare-like-hell british
equipment). I guess they came around the same time in history too...

electronically yours, jesper
