I agree... not very helpful. But equal to "to the best of my knowledge"
and "no guarantee that it works after a bumpy ride through the mail" etc.

Great price. If he had registered with eBay's ww shipping he probably would
have to sell it as faulty not to have the money returned when buyers
protection kick in.

How I read "This set was fully working when checked 1 year ago" is more like
"Not fully functional, but not ribbed for parts". Which is the danger when
buying these as "for parts, not functional" and you find that all the Curtis
chips where removed.

Just keep in mind that many owners of electronic equipment are scared to
death about opening their gear. Like there are curses and vicious
spirits inside. :D I've met that view dozens of times...

A few years ago I bought three "totally broken" units as scrap from a
guy who has beaten hexagons since day one but probably never opened a
unit. I re-soldered one wire connection, re-wired a PSU contact and had
a friend to burn a new e-prom and all three was alive and 100%
functioning again.
