Vintage Simmons Drums (UK) Users Group

Dear Simmons MTM gurus,
I read the Simmons MTM manual but was unable to work out the settings necessary to use the Simmons MTM between a software sequencer or Alesis QS6 midi controller keyboard and Simmons SDS7 system. I tried with the QS6 into MTM into SDS7 but to no avail!

Hi Stephen , it's been a while ;)
what do you mean by sequencer into the MTM ?  via Midi ?
Personnaly I still trigg whatever behind the MTM from a Drumkat. routed via midi, it works perfectly and should be exactly the same from any sequencer.
Actually I also did it trigging sequence from Logic pro.  just be sure to assign correctly the midi notes and channels. it shouldn't be a problem.

Yes, please elaborate...

I use three MTMs mainly by feeding them via midi from sequencer and/or
keys. Each of them controlling SDS-V, SDS-7 and one going to a patchbay
to patch up the rest.
