Vintage Simmons Drums (UK) Users Group

Hi All, I'm new to to group and could do with some suggestions for getting my SDX going. Im based in East London and am happy to pay for someone reliable to take a look at it. This is all with a view to selling/auctioning it once it's up and running. Any technical tips or talk of schematics are no use to a luddite like myself,sorry. The kit (in white) comprises of The Brain/BD/SD/HHat Pad/HHat Pedal/Toms x4/Cym Pads x2/Leads/Manual/Powersupply/System Hard Drive/Floppys x 2. It is apparently number six out of the factory.

After being in storage for years I had it serviced(it wasn't working when it went into storage over 10 years ago). The fella got it going (and provided a detailed list of all the work he'd done) and told me I needed a new hard drive for it. I found a new hard drive on Ebay with the operating system and library but can't get the SDX to see it. 

I'd like to get this sold - 1.So someone makes a noise on it-there doesn't seem much point to musical instruments that don't get played 2. I need the money, I've just bought a flat and it's in a right state.

I fixed a few sdx and I'm currently trying to bring one back to life. I can help you . Pm me on my email rob325ci@.... I'm working away at the mo but will be back in a week or so . I'm happy to help you bring it back to life. Also do you know what no it is?
