The
ED103-MIDI2SDS is an 8-channel MIDI note to Trigger unit suitable for use with
a variety
of synthesizer modules and drum machines including the SDS range
from
Simmons
for which it was originally designed.
The
unit has 8, velocity sensitive, trigger outputs each of which can be assigned to
aspecific
MIDI Note using the `LEARN’ mode.
Features
8
Trigger outputs each being able to swing between 0V (LO) and +10V (HI) in 127
steps as
defined by the MIDI Velocity received.
When
in TRIGGER mode the duration of the trigger pulse is adjustable from around
1mS
to
130mS as set by an onboard trimmer.
When
in GATE mode the trigger is controlled by Note-On and Note-Off commands.
An
INVERT mode allows the trigger outputs to swing from HI to LO.
Specifications

@ 10mA
TRIGGER
Output Range Velocity controlled from 0V to +10V in 127 steps.
Onboard
trimmers allow the LO and HI voltages to be
adjusted
to provide finer resolution:-
LO
can be adjusted from 0V to ~2V
HI
can be adjusted from ~6V to 10V
TRIGGER
Output Duration Adjustable from 1mS to 130mS
