Looking for SDSV kick spurs

Looking for SDSV kick spurs

2014-05-23 by Kent Tran

Just scored on a great deal of 2 sets of the SDSV brains and SDS5 pads.  One problem, the kick pads is missing the spurs.
Does anyone have one for sale or know of anyone selling it?  I've been searching high and low on eBay.
Also, would a regular 200watts keyboard amp work for the brain?  I do not have experiece with amps.  Just need something to practice and for low volume playing without having to pay for a grand PA system.
any info is greatly appreciated.

Welcome again and congrat's to a great set!

Many spurs have gone missing over the years and they seldom surface
again. Some have made their own and I bet one or two guys here can tell
you more about that.
A keyboard amp should work great for your purposes. I run my e-drumgear
through a bass amp when not using headphones.

I use a Roland PM30 for monitoring, and I would highly recommend it for practice. Unlike what you would get with a keyboard amp, it has two satellite speakers that mount to the drum rack, so you have a sense of the sound coming from the pads, and of a stereo image. It has a little mixer built-in so you can send a mix, cd/mp3 player, synth, etc through as well. It doesn't get loud enough to play gigs through, but for practice it's perfect.

If you use real cymbals maybe a bass amp would be ok, but my experiments with bass amps were very disappointing for a whole kit. What makes a bass guitar sound good won't necessarily work well with hihats...

all my best,
- Scott

a mixer with a good headphone output would work for silent-ish practice, you'd save on buying speakers and amps.
