SImmons SDS6 schematic needed.

Dear Simmons group members

My currently US voltage SDS6 stopped working when I stupidly tightened up the 'lid' screws, one of which snagged a ribbon cable. I recently replaced the backup batteries as one had come unsoldered and they could have been the cause of the non functioning. However, no change since replacement. The display LEDs briefly flash on as I switch on but then nothing i.e. no correctly illuminated LEDs. The fuse 500mA (but should be a 1A according to the manual with 120v) did not blow and I am awaiting replacement ribbon cables although the one I have temporarily repaired tests fine for continuity across all contacts. Really need a circuit diagram to test some voltages and to make sense of the different ICs and transistors. And no I don't want to sell before anyone asks! Advice / UK techs versed in Simmons SDS6 suggestions etc most welcome.

I was just sent some made by Thierry Eppherre.
If yours are different, I'd like to take a look at them.
Thanks for the reply.

I have both original and Thierry's. I can tell you Thierry's are the accurate drawings. There are errors in the original Simmons schematics. I have repaired many SDS9's so I speak from experience.

Hi Nick,
Thanks for the good intentions. I'll wait patiently. It could be something as stupid as me reconnecting a ribbon cable round the wrong way but I don't have diagrams to check.

Hello,
Redrawing SDS9 schematics took me a lot of time (some months with paper, pencil, digital multimeter to trace connexion.....)
I will be happy to see original SDS9 schematics from simmons....
See you soon
